CARE International in Lao PDR was selected to present two research papers on the 14th International Conference on Public Health among Greater Mekong Sub-Regional Countries 2023” from 27-29 June 2024, in Luang Prabang, Lao PDR.

The conference is hosted by 20 universities from nine countries across the region, including Cambodia, China, Myanmar, Lao PDR, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, and the USA and Australia. The theme is “Meeting the Sustainable Development Goals through Improved Nutrition, Health, Equity, and Climate Change Adaptation.

There were two studies that CARE presented, which were entitled” Impact of Climate Change on Water Access and Gender in Phongsaly and Salavanh and Sexual Reproductive Health, and “Impact of Peer-to-Peer on Sexual Reproductive Health Among Adolescents in School and Villages in Sekong Province.”
