In September 2021, CARE International in Lao PDR held handover and opening ceremonies of private spaces for youth-friendly services and counselling at eight health centers in Lamam and Dakchueng Districts, Sekong Province. These services were created to provide a safe space for youth to talk openly about their health issues and receive appropriate recommendations for solving them from health care workers. In addition, this occasion was also taken as an opportunity to handover youth dignity kits to village youth representatives to provide to youth in 30 villages in Lamam and Dakchueng Dsitricts. The dignity kits include laundry detergent, soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes and menstrual pads, and were worth a total amount of 84,150 USD.
