On 13 July 2022, CARE International in Lao PDR held a Closing Ceremony and handed over equipment to local partners of the Empowered Women for an Equitable Coffee Value Chain Project. The meeting was held to summarize the evaluation results of the project implementation in Sekong Province. The results showed that the project has been successful across many areas of work from 2019-2022, especially on ethnic women’s empowerment through capacity building and improved management to promote productivity, increases in women’s incomes through access to coffee value chains, and encouraging women to take on more important roles in the coffee value chain.
